We are looking for a Local Activations Marketing Manager for our team in Berlin!
Your mission as a Marketing Manager for local activations will be to discover untapped opportunities in the various countries where we operate. We are in a defining age where consumers increasingly make informed choices on the media they consume. For Babbel, this means that our marketing channels do not provide ubiquitous reach - this is where you come in!
Babbel is a brand for everyone who loves learning languages. Babbel’s marketing team needs to reach the right audience in each market, uncovering local and national opportunities to tune our message to the needs of the audience, to tune our creativity to tap into user psychology, and uncover insights and tap into opportunities based on our rich consumer data.
In this role, you will be part of our Performance Marketing team and you will pursue and execute marketing opportunities on your own and work in partnership with our offline and online marketing teams, as appropriate, supported by creative operations and guided by the KPIs established by our markets strategy team.
You will:
- Identify untapped potential in our key markets by discovering new media and marketing channels on a national and regional scale
- Source and launch local partnerships to drive brand awareness and profitable subscription growth
- Explore and negotiate affiliate local media opportunities for the paid digital teams to execute
- Support local PR activations in partnership with our PR team, create Babbel buzz and improve SEO foundations in our various locales
- Deep dive into our rich consumer data to surface data-driven insights that fuel optimisation and testing
- Be the champion of consumer-driven insights that inform our creative development for both Digital and Offline media
- Hands-on marketing practitioner who can execute a campaign from start to finish
- A creative storyteller who understands the human dimension across cultures
- A strategic thinker and an excellent communicator, able to collaborate seamlessly
- Analytical and detail-oriented, organized, able to cover a lot of ground independently
- A media expert, adept at spotting opportunities in geo-specific markets
- A team player, capable of working effectively and cross-functionally at all levels
- Customer-focused and passionate about the digital language learning space.
- Positive and adaptable to a fast-paced environment with competing and ever-changing tasks and challenges
- At least 4 years of marketing experience, particularly in execution local launches
- Fluent in English (any additional language is a plus)
- Work within a high-performing team responsible for growth at Babbel
