Morgan is available at www.jpmorgan.com .The Network Management Oversight & Governance Manager role is accountable for the continuous regulatory and operational performance oversight of Network Management over appointed Agent Banks/FMI for JPMAG. This role will require end to end partnership and liaison with key stakeholders in the CIB Business as well as with Network Management. This role will report directly into the Head of Securities Services Operations Oversight and is based in Frankfurt.
Roles And Responsibilities
Accountable for managing the governance and oversight over Network Management on behalf of JPMAG, this will include:
- Ensuring fair understanding of and compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements for all jurisdictions required by the Business and their clients
- Accountable for reviewing and coordinating the approval of Final Assessment Report activities for Agent Bank/FMI/Clearing Systems within regulatory, policy and procedural deadlines related to CIB Operations
- Ensuring that escalation by Network Management of any matters that may impact completion of legal and regulatory requirements is performed in a timely manner to relevant LOBs
- Monitoring of remediation within the required timeframes
- Overseeing the onboarding of new Agent Bank/FMI/Clearing Systems in Germany
- Review risks and exposures identified by Network Management during their oversight activities impacting JPMorgan’s LOB’s, stakeholders, and other key cross-functional partners and participate in working across partners and stakeholders to identify solutions and mitigates
- Maintain strong relationships with the lines of business and other partners, being able to articulate the key business strategies and requirements
- Be aware of market and regulatory change by developing strong relationships with market managers in order to having a fair understanding of how this will impact the Businesses and clients
- Respond promptly and effectively to any regulatory specific enquiries and escalations received from the CIB Services Businesses, Client Managers and Network Management colleagues
- Support audit, controls and regulatory requirements and requests as required
- Represent CIB Operations in new business initiatives (NBIs), to evaluate and identify risks associated with new / prospective engagements, products, or businesses in partnership with Network Management
- Participate in and report to local operations risk committees and outsourcing governance forums as required
- Monitor crisis events and incidents impacting the covered agents and FMIs, communicating across stakeholders and partners impacting the Legal Entity
- Ensure adherence to the Outsourcing Policy and IAS Standards and manage Service Level Agreement between Network Management and the Legal Entity
- Experience in Operations including securities processing / sub custody / settlements or corporate actions is preferred
- Previous experience working with agent banks, brokers and FMIs preferred.
- Strong experience in TPO/IAO, risk, control and regulatory management
- Previous Network Management experience a plus.
- Strong relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to "join the dots" and evidence good judgment under pressure
- Ability to identify and negotiate innovative solutions to challenges and issues
- Financial services background, with at least 10 years relevant experience in the industry.
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to work with partners across J.P. Morgan, particularly the Network Management team and developing partnerships with the LOBs and functional areas such as Compliance, Legal, Risk and Technology.
- Attention to detail combined with an ability to absorb information and develop a strategic approach.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly with regard to assessing risk.
- Strong team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
