The successful candidate for this role will be a fast, clear and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work, is metrics and number savvy, has an analytical mind-set and has demonstrated leadership ability. In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be very close to the action and spending time on the warehouse floor with the teams and their processes. As a Learning Manager and a member of the leadership team in one of our Fulfilment Centres, your role will be heading up the Learning Team. What will I have ownership of?
  • End-to-end ownership of the associate cycle of understanding their role and optimizing their ability to perform their best by quantitative examination of key process indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead, manage and coach your salaried Learning Specialist and team of trainers to be the best they can be. Understand what motivates your team, support them to develop a career plan and actively support them to achieve it.
  • Work with General Manager and site leadership to assess, evaluate and prioritize overall development needs.
  • Take a data driven approach to understanding performance issues. Take action to improve the quality and effectiveness of training and coaching at your site for associates. Build relationships and influence your site leadership team colleagues to address issues that inhibit effective learning.
  • Lead projects (with support from your EU colleagues) to continuously improve the efficiency design of training, the quality of our instruction, and effectiveness of our coaching interventions.

Basic Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or sciences
  • Excellent communication skills to able to engage with several EU stakeholders - face-to-face and remotely - and driving to match the business needs
  • They have the ability and initiative to lead the day to day operational business whilst continuously improving their area.
  • Familiar with data to approach problems and lean continue improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in engaging multiple stakeholders
  • Managed and developed a team, and achieved collective success.
  • Data skills and the ability to understand how Learning’s activities and responsibilities play into the metrics that drive how the site is managed
  • The ability to work in fast-paced ambiguous environments, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities
  • Full proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operations professionals with a proven record of accomplishment of using lean principles in complex manufacturing/production environments.
  • Experienced in change management and process improvement activities, designing scalable solutions and implementing these at pace and at scale.
  • Ability to influence leaders at all levels to understand their role in employee development and help build their skills.
  • Master’s degree in related discipline: Engineering, Mathematics, Science related fields
  • Fluency in additional European languages is desirable.
