  • As a system architect you will work in a team of experts on innovative MEMS sensors in the pre-development stage for consumer or automotive products. Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining hardware and software architectures and interfaces between components and host systems.
  • You will drive the development from brainstorming to proof of concept, model-based simulation, code generation and implementation to verification. You are responsible for the technical sub-project management and you are the central contact person for the interdisciplinary development team.
  • Throughout the project you will derive requirements and coordinate cross-departmental activities with the teams working on ASIC, micromechanics, packaging, characterization and final testing. You define work packages and track the results and their documentation.
  • Together with the team you will oversee the physical root cause analysis of the sensor behavior using experimental characterization, analytical models and model-based system simulations and adjust the system functions accordingly.
  • Last but not least, you will also transfer the results of the pre-development phase to series development by formulating conclusive recommendations based on your findings and proven results. To ensure sustainable development, protect our intellectual property by filing invention disclosures.
Qualifications
  • Education: completed university studies (master’s degree/diploma/PhD) in microsystems technology, electrical engineering, physics or a comparable subject
  • Experience and Knowledge: experience with sensors (preferably MEMS); broad and deep technical understanding; knowledge of signal processing and experience with Matlab
  • Personality and Working Practice: intrinsic curiosity, very structured, analytical, willingness to learn, you have excellent communication skills and inspire those around you with your exemplary appearance
  • Enthusiasm: excited about the possibilities of improving existing and developing new MEMS sensors, enjoying introducing new concepts and advanced technologies into future product generations
  • Languages: very good in English written and spoken, German skills are beneficial
