  • As a Development Engineer, you will work on the further development and implementation of systems and concepts for the Linux-based EDA design environment with focus on the analog part of the mixed signal ASIC design flow for use in the automotive electronics ASIC design unit.
  • In addition, you will work with the IT team to meet the design requirements and you will be responsible for the good performance of the job distribution in the grid of the assigned tools (related to Linux, Server, HPC/Grid, Storage).
  • Furthermore, you gather requirements from all design teams (worldwide, including future needs) and drive generalization of project specific solutions.
  • Both the coordination of the release and further development of methods and tools for the assigned area is part of your task as well as the coordination of our requirements with EDA and technology suppliers.
  • You support the global rollout of tools, methods and user training (including documentation within the reference flow).
  • Ensuring operations and support within the CAD/IT team for all Bosch ASIC designers worldwide is also part of your task portfolio.
  • Finally, you will support the quality and ISO26262 requirements for the EDA tools, both for in-house developments and manufacturer products.
Qualifications
  • Education: completed university studies (bachelor’s degree/diploma/PhD) in electrical engineering or a comparable subject
  • Personality: team player, flexible, target orientation
  • Working Practice: goal-oriented, solution-oriented
  • Experience and Knowledge: several years of expert knowledge and experience of state of the art and ASIC design tools (EDA-vendors e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and HW-development methodologies and -tools (incl. Linux, script- and programming-languages)
  • Qualifications: thorough understanding of ASIC requirements and development flow, design tools and Software/Hardware environment
  • Languages: business fluent in written and spoken German and English
