You will be joining a group of dedicated team members that are fully focused on maintaining and supporting our i.s.h.med solution for our world-wide clients. i.s.h.med is a leading EHR platform with an installed base in 37 countries and more than 400K users every day.

As a senior SAP Systems Engineer for Performance Improvement, you will participate in a performance improvement program as part of the Cerner Works team but working very closely with the product development team for our solution i.s.h.med.

The performance improvement program is an innitiatve to work very closely with our clients, mainly in the DACH region to identify performance bottlenecks within the solution, feed the information back to product development and support quarterly performance improvement initiatives to continuously improve performance for our clients.

You will set-up mechanisms to monitor and analyze performance bottlenecks from a system configuration perspective on client implementations and come up with suggestions to improve the performance based on your findings.

You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining our internal “Golden client” where we will fine tune our own system for benchmarking purposes and for continuously updating our system configuration recommendations. You will also be responsible to maintain internal SAP landscapes.

Furthermore, you will work mutually with the product owners to present accomplishments and collect feedback from stakeholders inside and outside of our organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or application development or relevant professional experience
  • Several years of experience in system administration and/or system engineering work experience
  • Fluent in German and English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified SAP Basis
  • Experience in NetWeaver, Solution Manager, HANA
  • Instructure knowledge (CITRIX, Network, SAN/Storage, Virtualization)
  • Experience with continuous system monitoring
  • SAP Certificate Technology Associate or similar vendor certificates
  • Hyperscaler Knowledge (AWS, Azure) or similar certifications
  • Working experience with agile development principles
Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of their time
  • Willingness for On call duty if needed
