Senior Salesforce Engineer (f/m/d)

Contentful is growing fast and we are looking for a motivated Senior Salesforce Engineer to join our team. As part of the business systems team, you will play a key role in managing our Salesforce instance.

Salesforce is crucial to our operations, and as a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will collaborate with developers and internal stakeholders to improve existing processes and develop new ones that are audit-proof and flexible.

• You will work as an SFDC Developer and suggest solutions to address user requirements.
• You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and administration of our Salesforce organization, including Apex, Triggers, VisualForce Pages, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Approval Processes.
• You will manage integrations with other internal and third-party systems.
• You will provide guidance and best practices to ensure a scalable Salesforce instance.
• You will collaborate with other engineering and GTM teams.
• You will create technical design documentation to define application code and design decisions.
• You will conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality.
• You will troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions.
• You will review implementations by less experienced developers and provide feedback for improvements.
• You will mentor junior and mid-level developers and assign tasks effectively.
• You will communicate effectively with technical teams and business owners during design and implementation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant subject.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development projects.
• Good understanding of Salesforce governor limits and their impact on design.
• Knowledge of Apex, VisualForce, Javascript, and OOP concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema.
• Knowledge of Salesforce security model.
• Ability to solve practical business problems in a high-growth environment.
• Clear communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Experience with Salesforce Community Cloud is a plus.
• Proficient in English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant subject.
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development projects.
• Salesforce certification such as "Salesforce Platform Developer I" (ideally Platform Dev II).
• Excellent knowledge of Salesforce governor limits and their impact on design.
• Excellent knowledge of Apex, VisualForce, LWC, SOQL, Javascript, and OOP concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of Software Design Principles and Software Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema.
• Experience with web services.
• Knowledge of Salesforce security model.
• Ability to solve practical business problems in a high-growth environment.
• Clear communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Experience with Salesforce Community Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in a SaaS company is a plus.
• Proficient in English.
