As our new Senior Backend Developer, you will join our lean setup and have a major impact on the technical direction of the platform itself. Your experience and voice matter as we are certainly aware that only as a team we can succeed.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Designing the system architecture and ensuring a highly scalable infrastructure
• Building and maintaining a micro-service based white-label cloud platform which integrates with other data-driven platforms
• Envisioning and implementing future-proof solutions for software but also hardware products
• Continuously creating, developing, and delivering superior quality code on time
• Leading and mentoring other, more junior engineers by example

Was bringst Du mit?

You have a passion for simple code which is functional and easy to understand and maintain and enjoy focusing on delivering quality centred around a great experience for the API user. You are a strong self-organizer with a hands-on mentality and have experience with agile & distributed software development. Your experience in international and intercultural teams has allowed you to develop excellent communication skills in English. Your experience with team chats (Slack or Mattermost) and video calls makes collaboration with others easy and fun for you.

Here’s what we think you need to succeed in this role:
Programming Languages:

• 4+ years of experience in backend development
• 2+ years in using Golang to build cloud platforms used in production

Stack & Systems:

• Strong experience with Postgres, Redis and message queues like RabbitMQ
• Strong experience in defining REST APIs and designing micro services
• Experience in building distributed low-latency systems exposing an API
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Production experience with popular cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Nice-to-have:

• An open-source track record on Github
• Team leading skills
• Core knowledge in JAVA
• Experience in working in a Golang Monorepo
• Experience with oAuth 2.0
