Are you up for the challenge? We’re looking for a Business Development Manager - Mid-Market DACH (f/m/d) to join our team!
As a Mid-Market Business Development Manager (f/m/d) at Apaleo you will be engaging directly with small to medium-sized hospitality businesses, helping them to transform digitally. You will be using proactive and inbound selling strategies to find and close new businesses.
You will use your knowledge of hotel operations and/or digital transformation to act as a trusted advisor to the prospects, running the platform sales process from end to end, including advising on how to best compose their new technology stack. Being able to simplify technical and complex topics, as well as the ability to drive strategic partnerships with our app partners is what makes you a top-performing business development lead.
What You’ll Be Up To:
- Clearly articulate and demonstrate our value proposition, creating excitement and enthusiasm among prospects
- Develop and be responsible for your own annual, quarterly, and monthly territory business plan to achieve the set goals
- Diligently build and manage a qualitative pipeline with a structure to deliver consistent results
- Find new prospects by working closely with our growth and marketing team, as well as partners
- Ability to run qualification calls with hoteliers, department leaders, and C-level executives
- Independently run in-depth online and occasionally in-person product demonstrations
- Continuously create & leverage industry networks & relationships
Your Skills:
- The desire and commitment to be in hospitality tech sales
- Higher education in finance, business management, or hospitality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in fluent German and English
- 2-3 years in a quota-carrying role
- Previous SaaS and enterprise software experience
- Experience in a complex and consultative selling environment
- Ability to negotiate and close contracts independently
- Be customer oriented and focused on being a carrying voice internally on needs & challenges
- Managerial or administrative experience working for hotels or serviced apartments is not required but is a plus
- Technical understanding or affinity to make complex topics simple
