Short Term Algorithmic Trading Expert (m/f/d)

• Create algorithms and strategies in cooperation with Front Office and IT for commodity trading with focus on Short Term Power, Gas
• Assess the correct algorithms to run on any given day
• Prove, test and productionise the algos
• Monitor, backtest, blindtest and legitimize quickly all algos in production and continuously develop the approach and strategies
• Build and maintain extensive external network to ensure vital developments in the area of algo trading are brought to fruition at Uniper
• Help to improve pre and post trade processes to allow fully automated strategies to achieve Front to End completion

Who we are seeking

• Fundamental understanding of commodity markets, their behaviors and nuances
• Broad understanding of the regulatory landscape that governs commodity trading
• Good understand of basic coding, how an algorithm is put together and how to safely parameterize and deploy it
• A desire for change and a vision for the future
• Broad understanding of or deep interest to learn more about the current state of digitalization with commodity trading, available technologies and present challenges
• Fluent in English and competent in German would be an advantage
