Channel Marketing Sr. Advisor (m/f/d)

What you’ll achieve

The Channel Marketing Specialist interacts with Indirect Channels (Partners of various tiers and Distributors) to implement channel marketing programs that enhance Dell Technologies presence at partner’s point of sales, to generate sell out and growth in all LOBs. Activities include planning, execution, and return on investment analysis for marketing programs, marketing funds management and engagement with main partners (Intel, Microsoft etc.) to maximize vendor funds. Pre-sales activities include supporting our Sales and Merchandising stakeholders through providing insight into business and market trends and demonstrating how the brand could be effectively communicated to the end-customer. Post-sale activities include executing joint marketing programs with the channel partner, driving sales performance, inventory levels and ensuring a strong and consistent brand experience. Participates in sales planning and forecasting for designated product lines.

You will:

  • market the organization’s products/services through indirect channels such as Value-Added Reseller (VAR) and Distributors and drive channel marketing strategies and channel sales promotion campaigns
  • develop go-to-market communications strategy and tactics for channel, aligned with global guidance and create strategies and programs that drive increased revenue and market share for channel partners
  • be responsible for planning, research, plan insight and participation in pricing discussions and marketing strategy development as well as leading the creative development of communication plans, content and collateral
  • Identify segment market, competition, customer, sales requirements and use this knowledge to adopt marketing programs, in conjunction with segment Business Managers, Marcom and BI on quarterly basis to support segment achievement of financial plan and also work with Central Channel Marketing Team to drive initiatives that increases usage of Digital Marketing Assets and Tools, including sales and partner awareness/interest/education
  • Work with Channel Planning and Procurement as appropriate for engaging vendors required for development and execution of marketing/Marcom programs

Essential Requirements

  • Understands the overall corporate business plans, initiatives, programs, Channel Sales Strategy, Partner requirements and aligns Channel Marketing programs to it
  • Defines and implements channel specific programs and manages the successful implementation of multiple programs
  • Works in conjunction with global, international, EMEA and local channel marketing management in the respective geographies to ensure that all programs have the opportunity to be applied internationally
  • Works with Channel Sales management to ensure that programs reflect Channel Sales strategy and input and meets partner requirements
  • Regularly meets with partners to understand impact on current business and market trends and to ensure that programs meet their needs

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or business management and 8+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally in a multi-channel go to market environment
  • Excellent knowledge of business and marketing strategy, concepts tools and techniques, including promotions, direct mail, customer relations and advertising and Native in German, fluent in English
