At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have been striving to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.

Well-known for IntelliJ IDEA and ReSharper, JetBrains is working on a new ambitious project – a complete on-premises orchestration solution for remote development with JetBrains IDEs.

With this product, developers will be able to build a remote development pipeline that lets them:

  • Provide strong security over access to the source code
  • Simplify the onboarding experience of new team members
  • Warm up a dev environment to get it ready for use in a matter of seconds.
  • Choose the VM type that best fits the project’s size and complexity.
  • Save resources by automatically hibernating dev environments when not in use.

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to continuously assess the quality of the product and support our customers. Our ideal candidate is a proactive and outgoing specialist with technical education and a background in software testing.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Test the product.
  • Plan and drive quality improvements for the product.
  • Perform exploratory manual tests.
  • Develop, maintain, and extend the automated testing infrastructure for the product.
  • Interpret the results of automated tests, identify and report bugs, and drive improvements to the product features.
  • Collaborate with everyone on the team and take part in the product development lifecycles from the initial design phase to the feature release.
  • Interact with the product’s internal and external users.

We’ll be happy to have you on our team if you:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in QA and customer support for commercial software tools.
  • Can develop simple applications in Kotlin or Java.
  • Have experience in the administration of products on a public cloud, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Are familiar with containerization and know how to package an application as a Docker Compose bundle.
  • Are eager to continuously learn new things.
  • Approach problems from different perspectives and think in a solution-oriented way.
  • Know the difference between whitebox and blackbox testing.
  • Understand software quality management processes.
  • Can characterize defects and explain the difference between errors, faults, and failures.
  • Are familiar with the testing pyramid and configuration management.
  • Are analytical and methodical and able to document your work as procedures.
  • Can explain complex concepts in simple words and visually communicate ideas or problems.
  • Are confident enough to raise concerns when needed.
  • Can reproduce complicated cases, even when others might have given up.
  • Have the skills to discern the crux of a bug or issue from just a screenshot.
  • Believe that software products should be high quality and user-friendly.
  • Have worked with JetBrains products and want to take part in making them even better.

We’ll be especially thrilled if you:

  • Are comfortable working in a multinational environment.
  • Can look ahead and anticipate issues.
  • Have a go-getter attitude in all that you do.

  • Fascinating work in a dynamic, friendly team.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexible working schedule.
  • Six weeks of paid vacation (local regulations can be applied).
  • An office library with specialized work-related books and magazines.
  • Comfortable working environment, with ergonomic workplaces, fitness and leisure zones and a company-paid car park.
  • Excellent opportunity for professional and personal development, opportunity to travel to professional conferences worldwide.
  • Additional benefits including lunch, free refreshments and snacks in the office, and more.
