FreewayCamper is a young startup from Munich, which has set itself the goal of driving the digitalization of the camping market. Currently we are concentrating on the smart digital rental of a wide range of different campers and additional services with focus on the individual needs of our customers and a first-class service. Even the booking of campsites is already possible at FreewayCamper. With our individual and high-end products, the development of a strong brand, a smart digital strategy as well as the development and digitalization of further business areas we will revolutionize the camping market.

For this exciting and versatile goal, we are looking for a highly engaged Operations / Fleet Manager.

Tasks

  • Being fully responsible for fleet management throughout the entire camper life cycle (planning, ordering, preparing cars, organising transfers, supervising maintenance, preparing
vehicles for sale)
  • Processing damages and introducing initiatives to minimise their scale and impact
  • Managing repairs to minimise unavailability and costs
  • Supervising spare parts management
  • Coordinating vehicle sales (planning, preparation, negotiation, deal closure)
  • Supporting Stations and Customer Service in technical and fleet topics including staff training and monitoring compliance
  • Preparing fleet management for scalable growth by implementing smart processes and tools, and introducing initiatives that help optimise camper rental operations
  • Monitoring relevant KPIs and supporting Head of Operations in running daily camper rental business
Requirements

  • Degree in transport, electrical or mechanical engineering, logistics, tourism, management, economics or similar
  • Strong interest in mobility, tourism and/or fleet maintanance/management
  • Practical experience with large fleet management
  • Willingness to travel for business if needed (max. 10-25% of working time depending on the season)
  • Ability to maintain high productivity levels while under pressure, successfully solving multiple parallel challenges
  • Very good organizational skills to successfully keep track of several running projects and deadlines
  • Sense of responsibility, eye for details, ability to think outside the box, high quality standards of work
  • Fluency in English and in German – must have
  • Secure handling of MS Office, very good Excel skills
  • Category B driving license
