Network Engineer Microwave Link Engineering (f/m/d)

Become part of our collaborative and fast-paced team working for a company that builds ground-breaking technology! We are now looking for a Network Engineer that will be responsible for performing design optimization and audit of a network to meet customer requirements. The position is applicable for design & optimization of RAN, BBA, Transmission, Core, OM and Services Networks. You will be engaged in the whole process from pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance.
The role focuses on executing design, audit and optimization of services, where you will be accountable for part of the solution and of the service process. Hereby, you should be able to keep time, performance and quality according to Ericsson requirements and customer contracts. We welcome your application!
You will
- Design microwave links in mobile backhaul domain (short haul)
- Perform the link design and link budget calculation for new links and link extensions
- Evaluate site & path survey protocols including line of sight assessment (map based)
- Detailed planning of decommissioning activities for obsolete links
- Low level design for traffic, DCN and Synchronization services
- Selection of hardware, software, features, and licenses per link (equipment list)
- Preparation and delivery of commissioning documents (e.g. commissioning datasheet)
- Maintenance of relevant databases (frequencies & links: IQ-Link; network: CRAMER)
- Contribute to project specific work instructions and design guidelines
- Workflow management and progress reporting (TTWOS)
- Frequency application at Federal Network Agency (BNetzA)
To be successful in the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences.
- Demonstrated ability as a Network Engineer working on microwave link design and project delivery
- Experience with BEP 2.0 Microwave Link Design
- Experienced user of IQ-Link, CRAMER, TTWOS, PPLUS, WebRifu, PreHCM
- Proficiency with MS Office and software tools
- Experience with preparation of applications to the Federal Network Agency
- Strong track record as a team player and in knowledge sharing
- Proficiency in English; German skills of advantage
