Manager, Data & Analytics (f/m/d)

About The Role

Data & Analytics is a key function to drive Reporting and Analysis excellence in Biogen, to lead the evolution of data driven decision making and to integrate the Omnichannel strategy. The Manager Data & Analytics is fully integrated in the Customer Excellence & Operations (CE&O) team as a key partner to most affiliate functions.

The D&A Manager develops and implements agile analytic solutions, leverages the Regional and Global solutions, and supplements with local initiatives where needed to further enhance the data and the insights. The Manager D&A plays a proactive role to discover and adopt new analytical technologies, advanced methods for data triangulation with different sources, and to generate valuable insights for the business and to drive decision making. The role is in close collaboration with Regional D&A functions, as well as Global Center of Excellence team to implement standards for Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Solutions. Focus on Data quality, reporting optimization and design solutions for the end users are key aspects of the role.

This role offers the possibility to play a key role between technical expertise and be close to the operations. It can also provide exposure thanks to project related to new technologies and solutions, advance analytics models and innovative approach to generate insights from data.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive analytics within CE&O, to
    • Implement and manage the Omnichannel Strategy execution thanks to insightful reporting and analysis
    • Drive reporting excellence projects and connect relevant data points and bring them in one holistic framework, providing meaningful insights for the business owners
    • Manage and improve existing reporting structure and data warehouse for Management/Field teams, in close collaboration with regional/global support functions
    • Develop and provide standard ad-hoc reporting leveraging Power BI data models
    • Create low frequency or temporary recurring reports semi-automated in Excel, based on special needs from the business
  • Act as the affiliate point of contact to implement Regional and Global CoE BI and Analytical solutions, and to support various affiliate functions in such implementation, including coordination of data validation with them
  • Be the Data & Analytics partner and expert in the affiliate, who knows relevant Customer and Customer Engagement data and make the triangulations of key insights.
  • Continuously assess the need for BI solutions locally, drive reporting automation effort, adoption and standardization of shared solutions to improve alignment and efficiency across the Region.
  • Drive the local collection and definitions of business requirements and prioritize the needs and the decisions with the Regional D&A and Global D&A CoE function, secure business needs versus global roadmap and solutions.
  • Acts as the liaison and coordinator with Regional Global Business Services (GBS) function to ensure Data Steward service are effectively delivered to the affiliate, help secure their project implementation and problem solving if it occurs.

Qualifications
  • University degree in business administration or data sciences
  • Minimum 5 years experience in data management and/or analytics. Experience in pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in designing and implementing BI and Analytical solutions – Power BI expertise is an advantage
  • Proven track record in BI and Analytics projects and implementation.
  • Ability to translate operational strategy into tactical deliverables.
  • Project management skills.
  • People management experience preferred (direct or indirect).
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated personality.
  • Can-do spirit and hands-on execution mentality
  • Fluent in oral and written German as well as English
