We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and successful manager to lead a team of high performing Senior Engineers who are based on-site at large HPC accounts in Europe.

In a Typical Day As a Services Manager, You
  • Manage team responsible for providing on-site hardware, systems, sub-systems and/or other applications support for customers according to contractual service levels.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor operational/tactical activities of team.
  • Work closely with sales, presales and delivery teams on projects, ongoing support and new opportunities
  • Meet business and operation targets.
  • Recruit and support development of direct staff members.
  • Handle customer escalations.
  • Establish relationship with customers and other functional managers.
  • Provide guidance on process improvements and recommend changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to assigned field technicians.
  • Be responsible for all technical escalations
The role will be based in Germany and will require a manager with skills to develop and motivate the internal teams as well develop a strong ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with the end customers.

Customer sites may be located mainly in DACH, occasionally in larger in Europe, and will require regular travel (monthly/quarterly) to engage with the team and the customer.

If you are...
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a computer science or related discipline.
  • Knowledgeable of high performance/mission critical computing.
  • Knowledgeable of the major HPC customers within the region an advantage.
  • Knowledge of installation and site environmental support solutions.
  • Experienced working with challenging Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and penalty regimes (desirable).
  • Experienced in people and project management, planning, problem solving, innovation, analysis, communication and negotiation.
  • Experienced in client relationship management and striving to meet/ exceed customer satisfaction in relation to project delivery and ongoing support.
  • Strong experience in Stakeholder Management and 3rd Party vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experienced in Working and supporting remote support teams to and enables onsite support/ project teams to resolve complex issues and attain.
  • Fluency in German and English language
