The Director Architecture and Projects Applications is accountable for managing and orchestrating solution architecture of all applications used in Exyte on behalf of the Vice President Global Application Management and the Director Enterprise Architecture Management and Governance. Besides this the job holder is accountable and responsible for the project methodology and the project management of all IT application projects within Exyte. The job holder coordinates the implementation of the designed and agreed architecture within the execution of demand management and by the implementation of various projects. This includes the initial definition of project management guidelines, the regular reporting of the project progress, the adherence to the budget and timelines for the Senior Vice President Corporate IT.

The job holder builds the bridge and supports the communication between the Vice President Global Application Management and the IT project teams and the enterprise architecture community through the structured communication process, defined processes and by communication in person.

In addition, the Director Projects and Architecture Applications is accountable for the architecture development of Exyte’s application in the frame defined by the Director Enterprise Architecture Management and Governance, it’s execution and collaboration is the accountability of the job holder. As well this is valid for the methodology of IT Project Management in Exyte in close collaboration with the correspondent role in Infrastructure.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture for IT Applications

Define and implement together with the Vice President Global Application Management and the Director Enterprise Architecture Management and Governance the Architecture roadmap. Lead the implementation of the respective application architecture in the areas of IT demand management and IT project management and monitor the implementation progress through IT projects on a global level.

2. Governance, Guidelines & Business Relationship Management

Define a governance framework for Project Manager and EAM together with the Director Enterprise Architecture Management and Governance for steering the EAM approach. In particular, lead the implementation for the areas of IT Application Management.

3. Contribute to the Definition and Implementation of IT Project Management framework

Contribute to all activities regarding IT Project Management globally consisting of defining standards and frameworks, training concepts and its implementation, program and project support and operative support. The smooth process from Demand Management over a project into operations is an essential part of the delivery of IT which needs to be supported by the Change Management (department IT Strategy & Transformation Management). As well the job holder supports the communication from the Vice President Global Application Management within the global IT team and with another stakeholders.

4. Vice President Global Application Management

Lead and support the changes and projects for of the Vice President Global Application Management. Being single point of contact for the Vice President Global Application Management, his direct reports and peers as well as the IT ExCom for all architectural topics relevant for applications and relevant projects.

5. Personnel Management / Leadership

Lead the development and performance measurement for employees in the area of Application Architecture and Application Project Management

Show your expertise

  • Successfully completed university degree in in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or other equivalent disciplines (min. master’s degree University, preferable Doctorate) or comparable experience.
  • 5+ years of leading Solution Architecture
  • 5+ years’ experience as IT Project Manager, especially in SAP environment
  • Experience in IT management
  • Licenses or certifications required by the position: PMP, SAP, PMI, PM, ITIL, Prince2
  • Proven track record in Project Management
  • Experience in handling different topics in parallel
  • Proven knowledge in concept design
  • Proven track record EAM
  • Experience in the management of international stakeholders balancing between business requirements and cost-efficient service delivery
  • Fluent German and English language
