Are you an experienced Chef De Partie specializing in Chinese and Asian cuisine? Are you passionate about creating exquisite culinary masterpieces and delivering exceptional dining experiences? We are seeking a highly skilled and Chinese-Speaking Chef De Partie to join our prestigious luxury brand resort in the enchanting Maldives.

Position: Chef De Partie (CDP) - Chinese/Asian Cuisine ( Chinese speaking preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

As a Chinese-Speaking Chef De Partie specializing in Chinese/Asian Cuisine, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking a range of Chinese/Asian dishes with precision and expertise, showcasing your culinary mastery and creativity.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to develop innovative and authentic Chinese/Asian-inspired menus that reflect our luxury brand standards.
  • Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented according to the highest culinary standards, adhering to our resort’s quality and presentation guidelines.
  • Managing your assigned section within the kitchen, supervising and supporting junior chefs and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of Chinese/Asian cooking techniques, including wok cooking, stir-fries, and the ability to prepare fresh dim sum and noodles.
  • Maintaining the highest level of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in your work area.
  • Working closely with other departments, such as F&B and procurement, to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and timely delivery of food orders.
  • Monitoring and controlling food costs, minimizing wastage, and ensuring efficient utilization of ingredients.
  • Staying updated with culinary trends and new techniques in Chinese/Asian cuisine, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a Chef De Partie in a standalone Chinese or Asian restaurant or a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is essential, with strong communication skills in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of Chinese and Asian culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
  • Expertise in wok cooking, stir-fries, and the ability to prepare fresh dim sum and noodles will be considered a significant advantage.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary creations with an emphasis on presentation, taste, and quality.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • A passion for culinary excellence, with a creative flair and the ability to adapt to guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
