Team Leader Production Planning, internal Logistics and Bagging LinesHuntsman has an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics specialist with a passion to drive improvements to join our team based at our Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) production facility in Osnabrück.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will focus on continuous improvement of our production planning processes, our internal logistics processes on site and drive the transition to LEAN operations in the bagging area. As the Team Leader Production Planning, internal Logistics and Bagging Line you will work closely together with EHS, operations, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain.
Your responsibility will be to functionally lead the operation in the Bagging Area and to directly supervise the production planners and the internal logistics operators.
As the Team Leader Production Planning, internal Logistics and Bagging Lines, you will:
- Be responsible and drive the performance in the assigned areas with main focus on EHS, PSM, quality, planning accuracy and timely delivery.
- Define, implement and train Production Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Supervise the production scheduling and define and validate the production plan
- Lead effective production planning and ensure the follow up of deviations between planning and execution
- Drive continuous improvement by using LEAN tools to sustainably improve the overall performance
- Lead problem solving initiatives, define specific and relevant improvement actions to sustainably eliminate the root cause and take responsibility in the execution
- Review and update standards and SOPs to ensure incorporation of the latest improvements applying the PDCA cycle methodology, and conduct required trainings
- Actively drive the LEAN transformation and act as an ambassador for PEAK
- Degree qualified in Business or Supply Chain, or equivalent education with relevant work experience
- Result-orientated, proactive, self-starting attitude and able to work in a fast-moving environment
- Natural assertive leader, with the ability to lead, influence and motivate with and without direct reporting line and to communicate at all levels
- Excellent appreciation for EHS and Process Safety Standards is essential
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with strong project management skills
- Work experience in a LEAN operations environment, LEAN Green Belt education is a plus
- High level of adaptability with the ability to manage changing circumstances and ambiguity within a production environment
- Fluent in German and good command of English
