This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Account Manager, with experience in specialty chemicals, to join our EMEA sales team to manage an established customer portfolio and identify new business opportunities.

You will manage key negotiations and drive a standard of excellence with customers, whilst also promoting a collaborative work environment with internal teams. We’re looking for someone who can develop and leverage a strong commercial network to find new opportunities, maximize value-based sales and to meet the business growth objectives.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree qualified with experience in business development and account management within the specialty chemical industry
  • Fluent in German and English, any additional European languages would be beneficial
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to successfully negotiate key sales, create new opportunities and build networks
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership and accountability for a customer portfolio and strategy.
  • Highly motivated to develop further within an international organisation

As The Account Manager, Flexible Foam, You Will
  • Manage business for profitable growth in alignment with team strategy and directions with a focus on new business
  • Ensure implementation and execution of Key Account Plan for the selected accounts, whilst also keeping a focus on local profitable accounts
  • Establish and maintain a high standard of market intelligence in relation to products/industries/accounts
  • Monitor production and selling costs, liaise with customer service, logistics and credit department to optimize profit and cash
  • Ensure that reliable management information and forecasts are produced and reported
  • Cooperate with the pricing office to successfully implement value-based pricing methods
  • Provide the highest standard of customer care, including handling of customer complaints
  • Maintain the company standards regarding Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) and develop and implement a yearly EH&S plan with continued improvement targets
