Your responsibilities

In this role you will be an integral part of our Contract Management Team and liaise with all other project related functions like project management, commercial operations, scheduling, engineering, procurement, construction management etc. in order to protect and defend tk Industrial Solutions AG´s contractual rights. During the Bid Preparation phase you will be responsible for: Reviewing contract terms and conditions with regard to change and claim procedure, collaboration, communication, time schedule and client obligations, recommend strategy and setup to manage contractual risks and opportunities and check consistencies of contract annexes. Providing contract and claim management support to the proposal management during bid phase and contribute with best practices and lessons learned with regard to contract and claim management. During the contract execution phase (from kick- off to project close out) you will be responsible for: Analyze contract and evaluate contractual risks and opportunities. Review and comment subcontractor and supplier terms and conditions under consideration of risk mitigation and claim potential. Foster a common understanding and awareness of contractual contents and requirements within the project team. Monitor contractual obligations and changes to the contract. Develop solutions for contractual risks. Identify claim potentials and external deviations. Document change or claim relevant events and analyze contractual impact and claim potential. Review and prepare contractual correspondence related to contractual change and claim events or potential claims. Ensure transparent reporting of claims and contract changes. Support close-out process.

Your profile

  • You own a University degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, ideally with additional qualifications in Construction Law or similar and you gained a Minimum of 5 years extensive experience in Contract & Claims Management in the field of turn-key delivery of industrial production or processing plants (engineering, procurement and construction), preferably in chemical plants business.
  • You understand and have experience in cross-discipline interaction as required for delivery of global projects, such as commercial and technical project and site management, scheduling and planning, quantity surveying, bid and tender, calculation and cost control, logistics.
  • As a team member in global project teams you have good communication skills and are able to perform your tasks in a well-structured and systematic way and you are actively looking for improvement.
  • You have high analytical, negotiation and conflict management skills and are used to work pro-actively and independently. You enjoy coordinating activities within multinational teams.
  • You are mobile, willing to travel, and have no restrictions to work in other tkIS offices or jobsites in the Asia Pacific Region, if so required, for a few months at a time.
  • You actively seek international experience and your excellent English skills enable you to prepare high quality reports and correspondence.
