Manage a Sales Engineering team of individual contributors who will have the following responsibilities:
  • Consult directly with potential customers to help them understand the technical aspects of Nuance’s capabilities and develop solution roadmaps. Help convince prospects of the value of Nuance products, Professional services and Nuance in general, with the ability to differentiate from competition.
  • Develop and give presentations and demos on Nuance technology, processes, and supported platforms.
  • Perform initial application discovery with customers for applications in call center and e-commerce environments. Work with customers to evaluate possible paths forward that are technologically feasible and make good business sense.
  • Work with the Sales team and the Solutions organization to develop work estimates and statements of work for solutions based on preliminary requirements.
  • Work with the Sales, Solutions, Product, and PS organizations, as necessary, to determine innovative approaches for "non-standard" implementations.
  • Construct common sales deliverables such as proposals, statements of work (SOW), and RFP responses.
  • Display a conviction to support sales efforts of the account executives with high energy and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Provide leadership, career pathing, and motivation.
  • Contribute to the development of processes, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the SE organization.
  • Develop a harmonious and effective relationship with professional services, marketing, and product departments at Nuance.
  • Work as a team player with the Global SE management team.
  • Direct and drive the team of sales engineers to meet financial goals as defined by Sales leadership.
  • Territory: DACH, Benelux and Eastern Europe.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Education:Bachelor’s degree Minimum years of work experience:12 Required skills:
  • Relevant enterprise industry experience (contact center technology providers, speech technology, IVR, web/mobile) Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience in managing a team of technical staff.
  • Experience in speech processing solutions space.
  • Experience in team selling efforts, specifically in selling the value of complex enterprise solutions.
  • Significant customer and partner facing experience.
Preferred skills:
  • Experience with contact center technologies (IVR, WFM, Telephony).
  • Understanding of:
- Digital interaction technologies such as live chat, virtual agents/chatbots - Web development technologies (Java, Tagging, Analytics). -Call center analytics - Cloud technologies, including public cloud platforms and micro services
