What’s the role?
As Territory Manager (Würzburg/Nürnberg), you will be responsible in managing the relationship between Shell and Retailers at site level for a vast area, ensuring consistent delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment.
In this role, you are expected identify gaps in all aspects of site performance including service and people. Additionally, you will mandate, advise or offer Retailers Shell recommended tools, processes and support to help them to profitably deliver the Customer Commitment at the Retail site and to develop the business for the mutual benefit of both the Retailer and Shell.
You will be accountable in maximizing all sales development potential whilst protecting Shells interests, through the coaching and motivating of Retailers.
Your further responsibilities include:
- Deliver Sales & Operations targets for geographical area through regular reviews and appropriate action plans.
- Ensure Retailers implement all areas of the Customer Commitment and ensure compliance with the Site Operations/ Health, Safety Security, Environment (HSSE) standards, contracts and manuals. Instigate remedial action plans where necessary.
- Manage and maintain territory plan through Retailer master plan.
- Ensure that Retailers actions do not damage Shells Reputation.
- Ensure that Retailers train and develop their staff and understand the importance of People in delivering the Customer Commitment.
- Participate in the recruitment process of new retailers and ensure quality and quantity. Optimize integrated profitability for cancellation and negotiation of Retailer contracts / cluster.
What we need from you?
Naturally, you’ll be a committed individual with strong business acumen and delivery driven, perhaps with some professional experience from a commercial and customer service background, although, this is not essential.
Having a valid KFZ drivers’ licence and being based in the South-West Bavaria region is a strict requirement for this role.
Beyond that, we’d want to hear from individuals who have the following:
- Excellent coaching and strong communications skills.
- Evidence of strong commercial ability. Being business driven and having an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to develop business relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- An ability to influence others by confidently communicating the benefits of initiatives.
- Passionate and curious to learn and develop a career within the retail environment.
- Fluency in German and English both in written and verbal communication.
