Empower, Connect, Evolve,andInspire -these are the values that drive us and make BMIa company where you can thrive and grow.Senior Project Management Engineer, ConcreteThe RoleBMI are looking for a Senior Project Management Engineer, Concrete to build a concrete Capex portfolio Management System and introduce standardised Capex project reporting in the organisation. You will lead and provide effective planning, monitoring & tracking of a detailed plan, aligned to the scope and deliverables of the project charter. Furthermore you will escalate key issues that that may impact the deliverables of the project to appropriate levels of management and involve & connect the necessary functions across BMI.The position contains frequent international business trips and work at different BMI locations within Europe. You could be based at one of our production sites in Germany, e.g. Heusenstamm, Werne, Bamberg, Saarwellingen, or in the Netherlands, Groningen, and/or work partially from home.Key Responsibilities
  • Capex portfolio management system for the Concrete projects to be created and managed
  • Drive the review and maintain the project documentation within the B-PMM (BMI Project Management Model) related processes & procedures to ensure Best Practice within the project environment
  • Escalate to appropriate levels of management any key issues that may impact the deliverables of the project
  • Lead and provide effective planning, monitoring & tracking of a detailed plan, aligned to the scope and deliverables of the project charter
  • Lead the deployment of risk management practices to assess, communicate and mitigate key risk. Management of changes to the scope of the project, whether schedule, budget or project scope related, must adhere to a strict governance approach
  • Measure the performance of the project through structured tools and clearly defined KPIs
  • Asses, identify capability skills gaps to ensure the required skills and capability are in place to develop a high performing coordinated core team to deliver the strategic project
  • Ensure resource allocation and availability is in place and coordinate the committed, cross-functional resource (including any external parties) in order to execute and deliver against the defined KPIs
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally certified to Project Management Standards
Experience
  • > 5 years industrial project management experience at senior level, with global accountability
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
  • Multi-site programme management experience
  • Lead and develop strategic relations/partnerships with key stakeholders
