indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.

Today’s automotive radar chipsets require highly-integrated system solutions and software with a strong development team to focus on the system approach and software platform capabilities. Symeo GmBH, an indie Semiconductor company, is a developer and manufacturer of innovative radar sensor systems for the automotive industry. Within our radar business unit (BU), you will be responsible for the program management of the systems, software, and applications team. This includes day-to-day management of the project as well as strategic alignment on tools, procedures, and best practices. Further, you’ll interface and augment the indie process landscape, and help shape our organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct planning, creation and updating of schedules, tracking execution details against plan for software, systems, and applications across all facets of design from within the indie radar systems group.

  • Represent the radar systems teams in interfacing with senior management, product management, and customers including regular reporting and escalation when required.

  • Champion the development & deployment of best practices to improve program performance, efficiency, and produce repeatable results across a growing business.

  • Support the systems and technical leads within the radar group to ensure smooth program execution.

  • Ensure engineering program management for the radar systems follows company gate review process.

  • Drive accountability and awareness, solve problems, remove roadblocks, and proactively search out and address risks and weaknesses to ensure projects meet quality standards and complete them on time and on budget.

  • Responsible for end-to-end project planning & rigorous execution management for the radar systems group to improve project execution certainty.

  • Facilitate communication & visibility to ensure alignment at all levels of the organization and spearhead corporate initiatives supporting various lateral organizations such as Marketing, Quality, Central Engineering, Test Engineering, Logistics, Functional Safety, etc.

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Microelectronics or similar.

  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills to work with cross-functional software, systems and silicon development teams to meet internal and customer commitments.

  • Knowledge of and previous project experience in the ASPICE software development process.

  • 10+ years of experience managing complex integrated system and software development projects.

  • Strong program management and fundamentals, understanding of product and process development in terms of project initiation, planning and tracking, including reporting and documentation.

  • Experience with systems and software product development cycles, DevOPs structures, concept to production, and the automotive development process including Functional Safety Requirements (ISO26262).

  • Experience dealing directly with external customers both on the technical and management sides.

  • Fluency in English
