Minimum qualifications:
  • Experience delivering consumer or enterprise products at scale and managing product solutions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in a role managing either product or engineering functions.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with privacy principles and relative technologies (e.g., sensitive data handling, retention, user data protection, privacy by design, gap analysis, anonymization).
  • Ability to drive change across an organization while managing stakeholders across teams at all levels.

Chrome OS is a Cloud-first, innovative operating system, built on simplicity but also provides capabilities such as running any Android app or a full Linux environment.

As Product Manager for Privacy in Chrome OS, your goal is to make Chrome OS the most trusted operating system in the market by explicitly giving users and organizations tools to control their data.

As a Product Manager at Google, you could be working on new technologies, platforms, consumer facing products, and/or enterprise systems. The end goal will be to match you with the team that best aligns with your interests, experience, and where you will have the most impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product strategies.
  • Work with the dedicated security and privacy engineering teams.
  • Manage privacy features internally and externally and work with marketing and PR teams to develop a privacy narrative.
  • Be informed on the lower-level OS stack and ship differentiating features.
  • Communicate design vision to team members, cross-functional peers, as well as stakeholders.
