The Medical Laser Center Lübeck (MLL) GmbH offers a post-doc position for a

Physicist/Engineer in Biomedical Optics

for research and development in the fields of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Endoscopy and Intravital Microscopy.

Both methods hold great promise for intravital imaging at high resolution for biomedical research and diagnostics in pneumology, ophthalmology, and dermatology.

Aufgaben

The applicant should develop and apply of novel multimodal imaging technology for visualizing cellular processes in living tissues within a small interdisciplinary group. These technologies shall be applied in small animals and in clinical diagnosis.

The candidate should hold a PhD in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science. He/she should be highly dedicated and should be willing to lead a small interdisciplinary team. We expect skills in image processing, microscopy and optics.

Profil

The MLL GmbH is a non-profit research and development company for optical technologies and laser medicine on the BioMedTec science campus Lübeck. Together with the Institute of Biomedical Optics of the University of Lübeck the MLL has evolved into an active international center in OCT. Besides the MLL, two OCT groups at the University of Lübeck and three companies are now engaged in the development of OCT technology and devices.
