You contribute with skills, ambitions and that little personal twist that makes us succeed
It’s the full package that you bring to work every day that gets the job done. Your professional acumen and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s your personality that makes the difference to succeed in this role. Especially the little twists we all have that makes us personalities instead of just a person.
Your background is legal (masters of law, cand.merc.jur or the like). Having certifications of your data protection knowledge via certification schemes is a plus.
You are fluent in English and German, orally and written. Additional knowledge of French or Italian is a plus.
Your professional qualifications include experience from a similar key role being an expert advisor of data protection law and practices with minimum 3-5 years of professional experience working with GDPR. You are familiar with relevant German jurisdiction and administrative practice of the German data protection supervisory authorities, and you are not afraid to dive into Swiss Privacy Law as well.
You are capable of striking the right balance between building relationships with key internal stakeholders whilst maintaining independence and being able to challenge GDPR business leads effectively. It is a huge plus if you have worked in an international context and have gained experience and knowledge about legislation in other jurisdictions while having English as working language.
The ideal candidate has business acumen and has the ability to balance between law and business with strong skills in interpreting and communicating complex laws and regulations to stakeholders across functions and levels.
You have strong analytical skills and work structured, efficient and meet deadlines. You are execution focused and independent in providing high quality deliverables and you have the ability to adapt to change quickly, with ever changing requirements and organizational changes. Finally, your personality is characterized by being energised and willing to walk the extra mile to succeed in your role. Having experience in 2nd line of defence is a plus.
