The purpose of the Test Tools Developer is to support the V&V activities in order projects with an adequate test environment and expert knowledge.

The Test Tools Developer develops and maintains software and hardware solutions for software testing, sub-system testing and train level testing & is responsible to create reusable and generic testing solutions for all order projects. The Test Tool Developer is an expert for the TCMS infrastructure (hardware and software) and the first contact to provide the project solutions out of the infrastructure and tools portfolio. The BT strategy of involving BT India in the project requires a strong communication and managing skill to plan, track and execute WPs on different sides (or with externals). Additionally, the automation for the laboratory (e.g. release build) is part of the responsibilities. It is mainly a software engineering expert role.

Key responsibilities:

• Specification work and interaction with other roles in the order project
• Software design & Implementation
• Testing of developed software
• Product owner simulation environment & Lead for external resources
• Documentation

Qualifications:

• Diploma or master’s degree in computer science/computer engineering or similar with experience in developing software solutions.Diploma or master’s degree in computer science/computer engineering or similar with experience in developing software solutions.Profound programming skills in the following programming languages: C/C++, C# and Python
• Several years of experience developing Windows applications in C# and WPF
• Proficient experience with Windows and Linux applications development
• Proficient experience developing software for embedded systems
• Profound knowledge using configuration management tools like Git, SVN, Microsoft Azure, ClearCase or comparable tools
• Specific DB skills in SQL and/or MySQL
• Good understanding of software requirements and test specification
• Capability to work in a structured and process-oriented way
• Good social talents and an ability to communicate clearly
