Description And Requirements
Telecommunication is basically everywhere in our live, so is computing power. Combining and leveraging these two megatrends with the market leader in these respective field is where Lenovo put the focus on.
Lenovo is looking for a Telco Channel Technical Account Manager for a major telecommunications provider who helps to identify and realize the vast opportunities that this collaboration brings. The Sales Account Manager we are looking is able to realize these opportunities and participate in sell through to any B2B enterprise customer by providing technical knowledge, including customers in the public sector and the healthcare business.
We are looking for an energetic sales minded person who is able to articulate the business benefits of IaaS on premise, Edge Computing and 5G Solutions. The position is a part of a global team that focuses on telecommunication service providers as Business Partners worldwide. The role includes a combination of a face-to-face engagement in front of the customer plus internally executing the won deals within Lenovo. Ideally, the candidate brings good knowledge of the Telco industry and respective business models. In this role, you will be part of a true global, newly established Channel Telco Team at Lenovo to share ideas, best practices and learnings with the respective local channel organization.
Your Responsibilities include:
Strategy & Planning
- Provide strategic architectural support in designated accounts to conduct high level technical engagement with customers.
- Key point of contact for clients, providing technical advice, driving PoCs, Certifications and introducing new solutions.
- Mentor and train technical account specialist in the customer and coordinate the deployment and integration of solutions to be monetized by the Telco.
- Make sure that ISG and SSG are represented appropriately.
- Build customer knowledge – ensure sales teams input customer knowledge through CRM tools.
- Support specific projects end portfolio development for the designated account.
- Ensure alignment of sales programs within the Lenovo ISG/SSG portfolio.
- Bring innovative solutions to be sold with and through the designated account.
- Provide input to the integrated segment marketing organization about required support.
- Identify key individuals that marketing needs to touch to accomplish the plan.
- Set high standards of performance for Lenovo Channel Telco team
- Influence and support Channel Telco BDMs to execute their plans
- Provide timely coaching and feedback to individuals in sales teams
- Experience in the telco business in general and their respective strategy towards their end customers
- Sales experience and a “never give up” attitude
- Good knowledge of the datacenter and solutions business
- Ability to build solutions leveraging the ISG Lenovo Portfolio
- Understands competitive offerings and can differentiate the One Lenovo Offer
- Ability to interact with CTOs, CIOS, SMEs.
- Structured team player and dedication to this newly established incubation role of Telcos & Lenovo
- Knowledge of the standard office and business tools, excellent English as the working business language.
