We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer C++ for The Vehicle & Cloud Platform Unit at Car Software Org. (part of the Volkswagen Group). You will be a part of a multi-national team of engineers who are leveraging computer vision, big data, simulations and high performance computing to design Volkswagen’s software system for autonomous driving.

Tasks
  • Design and implement a scalable software architecture (embedded and HPC) using modern concepts and design patterns
  • Set the standards within the the team for SOLID design principles and test-driven development
  • Design software stacks for the next generation in-vehicle engineering system and in-vehicle intelligent data aggregation system
  • Work with a talented interdisciplinary team
Requirements
  • a MSc/PhD in computer science, physics, engineering, numerical modeling or a related subject with outstanding grades
  • 7+ years’ experience in high-performance object-oriented software design
  • 5+ years’ experience of writing highly efficient parallel software (SIMD, thread parallel, distributed memory parallel, manycore hardware e.g. GPUs)
  • You have lots of enthusiasm for solving challenging problems and learning new things and really making a difference in the organization
