THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a product photographer in Lounge by Zalando’s photo studio, you will be responsible for photographing vibrant and imaginative visuals that will improve our customers’ online shopping experience. You will be creating a range of pictures for our website, focusing on off-model product photography.

We are looking for an individual with a combination of personal traits and experience in e-commerce photography. You should
  • Be highly organised, enthusiastic, technically proficient, and creative
  • Have an excellent eye for detail
  • Aim to produce high-quality output at all times
  • Be an effective communicator, maintain a high professional level of work, and remain open to different approaches
  • Work well under pressure and adapt from volume product shots to creative banner photography

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Create a diverse range of high quality product images shot off-model
  • Ensure consistent quality of your work and meet your daily productivity requirements
  • Follow photography guidelines and make suggestions for image improvements
  • Bring new ideas and suggest process improvements, participate in small scale projects and presentations
  • Independently and proactively solve problems that occur in production
  • Communicate effectively with the team and the Team Lead, give and receive feedback, and reach out for help when needed
  • Support the team with onboarding of new photographers
  • Occasionally support the Model Photography team on their shoots
  • Stay on top of product photography trends

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU CAN BRING

  • A portfolio showcasing expertise in off-model product photography such as pack shots, creative still life, ghost mannequin, and flat lays.
  • A good understanding of composition, lighting, capture, and post-production, in addition to being knowledgeable in pre-production, editing, and set organisation.
  • A good disposition towards collaboration and teamwork, following guidance and being able to work autonomously.
  • An educational background in photography or similar applicable professional experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume professional commercial studio.
  • A good knowledge of digital photography, lighting equipment and photo editing software with understanding of Capture One.
  • A drive to take initiative and a readiness to work collaboratively in a quick-paced setting.
  • English proficiency at a professional working level (German is a plus)
