ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Air Gateway agent will process and close MAWB for consolidations and B2B AWB’s.
  • Ensure that file contains all necessary documents and copies are in proper sequence.
  • To do what it takes to meet and exceed Internal and External customers’ defined needs and expectations.
  • Book space with carriers.
  • Ensure all MAWBs are rated correctly.
  • Obtain spot codes on all special negotiated rates with carriers.
  • Track AWB and provide COB information to the respective branches.
  • Research on all CCA, weight and rate discrepancies sent by carriers.
  • Filing of files.
  • Perform other duties as needed or requested.
  • Responsible of statistics and KPI´s of operational performance in the hub
  • Responsible for space optimization and best in class costing with 3rd party cargo handling agent.
  • Supervise and organize pallet build up and improve quality of all involved parties.
  • Responsible for general cargo and special load shipments on JAS Charter and commercial uplift
  • To support initiatives to further improve Consol benefit (cargo mix, yield management, etc.) and actively assist on JAS own Network expansion.
  • To Work in accordance with the compliance rules and policy
  • Relation with customers and Carriers
  • Shift duties during weekend
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
  • Able to perform the essential duties of this position without posing a “direct threat” to the health or safety of self or others.
  • Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • good written and oral communication skills in English and German
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge and experience in Air freight Operations duties
  • Knowledge in planning and cost control in Air Freight Product
  • English and German advanced proficiency language (written and speaking)
  • Knowledge of international and domestic geography.
  • Knowledge of freight / cargo industry, routing, and transportation procedures.
  • Knowledge of negotiation strategies and practices.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles.
  • 1-3 years job experience.
  • PC skills, MS-Office.
