We are looking for an engaged Global MNC Manager Technology (f/m/d) for our Sales Team at the Global Head Office DHL Freight in Bonn. As Global MNC Manager for the technology sector, you will develop and administer account management plans and processes to expand and maintain customer base, enhance customer satisfaction and achieve sales objectives for key accounts in line with business and sales objectives, Group guidelines and policies.
In this role, you will:
  • Ensure that the sales goals for the relevant major/strategic stakeholders are met
  • Plan and control acquisition, proposal preparation, customer support and customer consulting
  • Coordinate internal and external resources (e.g. Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service) to optimally meet the customers’ needs
  • Define and/or further develop the proposal processes and (customer specific) services
  • Carry out pricing and discounting for assigned key accounts and manage/control contractual negotiations with the assigned key accounts with the aim of achieving the best possible conditions for DPDHL
  • Take responsibility for sales planning and perform sales activities for the key accounts (revenue planning/visits, events)
  • Independently identify market/growth potential, observe the competitors, and know their specific spectrum, price structure and price policy
  • Idenpendently advise (top) management regarding strategic customers and potential new customers
  • Process complex, strategically important projects/acquisitions independently
  • Identify and implement process improvements in the area of Key Account Management and contribute to them accordingly
  • Identify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly
  • Use influence to convince and sometimes negotiate with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participating
  • Manage a close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Our perfect match:
  • You have finished your studies and gained at least 5 years’ experience in business (preferable road freight) - 2-3 years of professional experience in key account management in international context necessary, ideally in the sector of Technology
  • Proven track record of successful key account management (development of own portfolio)
  • Ability to proactively identify value opportunities, take initiative and act collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience within multi-cultural and international organizations required
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities
  • Strong capability to sell concepts, ideas and improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-directed and assertive with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage concurrent projects and timelines
  • Ability to manage in matrix structure
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint) and Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Fluent in English, further European language(s) an advantage
