YOUR TEAM

As newly formed ICB Platform Architecture Team within the Platform Development Department at CARIAD, we are defining the architecture of the high-performance computing platforms for some of the most complex computers in the vehicles of the Volkswagen Group.
We are looking for highly motivated and qualified technical project managers to technically coordinate the platform development of the future intelligent cockpit computers, which will be adopted by the new vehicles of our group.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Coordinate the implementation, the bring up and the validation of the platform components within the infotainment computer
• Identify, understand and sort out complex technical dependencies between hardware, low level drivers, PDK, middleware and application software, as well as to steer an international team towards the best appropriate technical solutions
• Preparation of project, milestones plans and of system anatomies will be essential to both steer the technical work of the involved technical teams and to report the progress to the stakeholders
• Organizing and driving the necessary integration camps, in collaboration with all technology partners, within CARIAD as well as outside, during the bring up phase of both HW and SW components
• Prepare, review and coordinate decision papers, considering pros and cons of the alternative solutions and to present them to the top management, with the goal of facilitating the decision process on technical level

WHO YOU ARE

• Completed studies in a relevant electronic or information technology field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in development of embedded systems, in complex hardware and software projects, ideally in the automotive industry. Amongst them, at least 3 years spent in technical project management
• Very good knowledge of development on micro-processors and micro-controllers and on Unix/Linux operating systems as well as know-how of Android automotive
• Strong project management skills and being passionate about motivating and leading people to strive for the best technical solutions
• Ability to quickly process new information and to understand highly complex correlations
• Strong teamworking skills, target-oriented, a proactive mindset in problem solving, as well as solid leadership and communication skills. Moreover, self-initiative will be a crucial companion of your daily work
• Fluent English language skills (both oral and written) required, German is a plus
