Reporting to the Director Operations, the Senior (Strategic) Procurement Manager is responsible for driving cost optimization, enabling an effective management of key suppliers and risks as well as supporting an efficient sourcing process of goods and services (i.e. Local Sourcing of Print Materials, Supporting Tender Processes, Fleet Management) for Red Bull Germany. In alignment with HQ Global Procurement and applicable guidelines and strategic directions, you will concentrate your efforts on identifying, planning and executing procurement strategies and initiatives for goods and services of Red Bull’s third-party suppliers. This includes working cross-functionally to define and align business needs as well as procurement strategies and approaches with internal stakeholders

PLANNING & STRATEGY
Work with Budget/Material owners to analyse business plans and company spending in order to make recommendations for future cost optimization.
Create and maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively align and support the identification of possible (cost/service) optimization and/or other improvements.
In alignment with the Global Procurement Policy, develop and implement procurement policies, procedures and guidelines for goods and services, in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements.
Drive and coordinate efforts to provide transparency on and insights into 3rd party spend.
Develop, establish, implement and enforce supplier management and outsourcing guidelines, obligations and service level agreements to the organization.
Analyse trends and market conditions for the present and future pricing, availability, lead-time and capacity of goods and services.
Provide methods and support to identify and qualify potential new suppliers and to ensure relationships with key suppliers are transparent and actively managed.
Communicate the added value and results to all internal stakeholders that procurement brings to the organization (incl. monetary and non-monetary benefits).
SOURCE TO CONTRACT
Develop and enhance procurement category management strategies to identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency across similar materials or services.
Align procurement recommendations that support yearly business plans and goals with internal stakeholders.
Set-out sourcing strategies for and actively support departments on large value and / or high importance procurement initiatives or tenders.
For a procurement initiative, define goals and negotiation tactics to achieve best value for Red Bull (incl. pricing, commercial terms, quality, risks, timing, expected performance, etc.).
Lead or actively support supplier negotiations till contracts with contractors and/or service providers are finalized and approved.
Provide recommendations on subsequent budget changes if requested.
BUSINESS PARTNERING
Maintain regular communications with internal stakeholders, incl. department heads to support optimizing budget spend and align on procurement involvement and collaboration.
Liaise closely with budget owners to develop and direct sourcing strategies from beginning to end.
Ensure key supplier relationships are managed and performance is properly monitored by the respective business partner.
Contribute to cross-regional initiatives to optimize group spend and knowledge.
Manage procurement team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, etc.
Align Procurement goals, plans and strategies as well as key procurement initiatives, and team developments with HQ Global Procurement and provide regular updates.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Set-up yearly Procurement targets in alignment with stakeholders.
Establish a regular management reporting on planned and running procurement initiatives and results.
Set-up and execute KPI reporting for key suppliers and spend.
MANAGEMENT OF THE TEAM
General administration of the team through team leadership and being able as well to stand in for all team roles if required.
Set up of target setting and review of performance.
Create a growth-mindset and positive team spirit and a pro-active and service-oriented working atmosphere.
Ensure proper development plans for all the team members and nurture for succession preparation.

- Degree of Bachelor/Master in economics, supply chain, other business related field or proven long term experience on the job
- Experience in a strategic Procurement role, ideally in the FMCG industry
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in project and process management
- Experience in working in a high volume FMCG industry desirable
- Solid understanding of state of the art “source-to-contract” procurement processes
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point skills
- SAP experience desirable
- Ability to establish a long-term procurement vision and strategic plans for the organization
- Good stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Profound analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability
- Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment, within a global organizational framework
