>20,000! That’s the number of employees at Sandoz. Our Internal Communications team plays a key role in engaging more than 20,000 associates around the world, helping them to better understand our strategy and feel connected to our purpose and culture.

For our Global Communications team at Sandoz we are looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications (m-w-d).

The position is planned as a cover for maternity leave with 50% FTE and a temporary 2-year-contract.

The Senior Manager, Internal Communications (50% in a temporary 2-year-contract) reports to the Global Head of Internal Communications within Corporate Affairs. In this position, you will work with colleagues in the Internal Communications team to manage communication programs and campaigns which focus on Change and Culture, and on helping improve employees’ experience around our internal communication.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage employee engagement campaigns and events, which bring our strategy, culture and purpose/brand to life. This includes program and content development, management of cross-functional teams, and development of and measurement against appropriate KPIs.

  • Lead internal programs in collaboration with our People & Organization (P&O) team, such as our Change Agents network. This includes keeping the network engaged and equipping them with the communication tools and resources to help cascade our messages through the organization. It also includes collecting feedback and sharing it back with our Corporate Affairs network and key senior stakeholders.

  • Support the execution of our Change & Culture communication plans to help prepare our organization for a standalone company.

  • Support the execution of our Employee Experience strategy, which includes managing on-brand content, events or campaigns. It also includes developing and measuring KPIs to adapt communication tactics to our audience needs across all internal corporate channels.

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a communications role within a major corporation or public relations agency, at least 2 years in internal communications
  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Communications, Business or related area
  • Native English or equivalent; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and event planning skills, ability to balance priorities and to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and collaboratively with team, committed to create “Best in Class” communications campaigns and corporate events
  • Proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and diverse international environment
