Accountant (m/f/d)

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a self starter to join the finance team and help us design accounting processes. The successful individual will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process. S/he will have a sense of ownership, will be detail-oriented, possess good communication skills and have advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing month-end closing activities to ensure completeness in accounting entries

• Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and tax filings, working with external advisers

• Support, maintain and improve internal ERP system policies and procedures

• Support external audit by analysing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors

• Actively participate in strategic initiatives and special projects when assigned or required and lead cross functional initiatives

  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field

• ACCA, Chartered Accountant or similar qualification is preferred

• Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting policies and European tax rules

• 4+ years of Big-4 public accounting and/or operational accounting experience

• Ecommerce or manufacturing related experience is preferred

• Intermediate to advanced applications software experience using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
