WHAT WE OFFER

In the Digital Solution Lab you will work in a diverse team of digital experts together with colleagues and customers on challenges around sustainability, circular economy, digital design and other exciting tasks of our digital transformation. We offer you the chance to develop your skills and change an entire industry with us.


As a Senior Full Stack Developer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to design, develop, test and launch innovative software solutions. Among other things, you will implement data storage solutions and web applications using web application frameworks and design and implement security and data protection measures. You will also be responsible for designing, developing and evolving potential digital solutions using the latest software development infrastructure and methodologies. You will design end-to-end system designs, with a focus on backend services, e.g. APIs, microservices, data entry, data transformation, and data analytics, among others. What else is involved:

  • Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish common goals and design a functional, coherent code base to improve the user experience

  • Analyze data, processes, and code to identify areas for improvement

  • Test-driven development in cloud environments of e.g. microservices, APIs, storage solutions

  • Develop business process logic for potential solutions with extensive use of existing interfaces (APIs)

  • Perform testing, code reviews, assess and improve application performance

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • University degree in computer science or comparable education with solid experience in similar roles

  • Solid knowledge of cloud architectures, preferably AWS

  • Strong experience in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, etc.

  • Basic understanding of the needs of front-end technologies (e.g. API First Approach, Backend for Frontend...).

  • Knowledge in a wide range of different database technologies from (SQL, NoSQL, relational, document, distributed), versioning tools like Git, Continuous Integration (CI) and Deployment (CD) tools like the AWS CDK or similar).

  • Experience in the use of testing tools such as Junit, UnitTest, Arquillian and agile application development (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, round out your profile
