TE Connectivity’s Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
As a Product Manager (m/w/d) you will report to the Global Product Manager Tubing in the TE Automotive Business Unit, the Product Manag-er will be responsible for identifying, developing and executing new and unique Heat Shrink Tubing applica-tions for the Automotive industry. He/She ensures that TE stays ahead of competition and expands the TE product portfolio by offering value to our customers.
- Expanding the portfolio and focus on technologically differentiated and higher growth products aligned to mega-trends.
- Design product roadmaps to align with key accounts and create differentiation in target applications.
- Develop strong relationships with key accounts and align with other product lines and BU’s to create cross selling synergies globally.
Strategy
- Analyze industry trends, customer requirements, support innovation and drive long-term growth
- Identify, prioritize, structure, and manage complex issues that drive product priorities and demonstrate bottom line results including long term pricing and commercialization strategies
- Evaluate blind spots in existing TE product portfolio and development of specific product roadmaps for Heat Shrink Technology to increase market penetration
- Develop new ideas and constructively challenge existing ones, for the organization to refine its “where to play” and “how to win” choices to drive growth, and sustain competitive advantage
- Develop opportunities that break new ground and expand total addressable market
- Interface between the Product Management team and the cross regional internal (Product Engineer-ing, Sales) and external (Customers) functions.
- Support on strategic or cross-regional projects, and bring timely and useful insight, perspective and analytical support
- Acquire new projects to fill revenue pipeline
- Translate product group strategy and roadmap into operational plans and drive execution to achieve business objectives including development of new applications
- Keep close contact with strategic customers to understand and influence technology trends and re-quirements to form product roadmap and drive competitive advantage.
- Build culture of continuous improvement, which leverages best practice processes and metrics to drive year-over-year improvements in key project management metrics.
- Engage, motivate and challenge cross-functional as well as cross-regional teams for innovation
- Create and foster a strong team spirit and takes on the role of “product champion”
- Create meaning and accountability, building teamworking and managing changes
- Promote a culture that reflects TE Connectivity’s values.
- Take business decisions as an enterprise leader, always aiming the best for TE Connectivity.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with TE Connectivity’s position on regulatory and compliance guidelines within appropriate international, national, local and industry standards regulations.
- University degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or natural sciences or equivalent
- 7 years’ and experience in Automotive industry combining several experiences in Product Management, R&D, Project Management or Sales
- Very good English skills
- Good German skills beneficial
- Proven innovation track record to drive global growth with significant customer exposure in a fast paced and changing environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Clear, strategic thinker with vision and the ability to execute on priorities
- Demonstrated commercial / entrepreneurial / strategic / innovative mindset
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions
