PURPOSEDirect to Consumer (DTC) business will represent the majority of adidas revenues by 2025 and it is a yearly double-digit growth which is expected for it in the next 5 years. Beyond sales, the impact we can create on every consumer thanks to Retail, eCom, Omni and Partner Programs is massive and unique.
Supports the Vice President Global SCM DTC in driving DTC Supply Chain transformation and strategy execution. This includes driving and measuring the progress of the transformation into a DTC focused SCM operating model.
Furthermore, the position contributes to forward looking Transformation agenda for organization-wide DTC SC workstreams, ensures transparent communication of the DTC SCM vision with the whole organization and fosters innovation. The position holder works closely with key stakeholders in the Global Operations (GOPS) & Supply Chain organization to give guidance for topics related to DTC Supply Chain innovation and transformation.
Key Accountabilities
- Works closely with the Senior Director Global SCM DTC Transformation & Strategy Execution in facilitating the SCM transformation process and ensuring alignment within SCM and with broader Global Operations (GOPS) strategies.
- Collaborates across markets and business units to prioritize and coordinate DTC SCM transformation initiatives and ensures implementation in accordance with the overall strategic direction.
- Remains current on industry and competitor trends, disruptive technologies, and other advances or environmental changes. Anticipates opportunities to transform DTC SCM capabilities, processes, and tools.
- Monitors international, national, and sector trends in order to establish the needed capability.
- Carries out capability improvement assignments, such as maturity or performance assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses of DTC SC Processes and Organization
- Selects and prioritizes improvement opportunities and supports DTC SCM Leadership to generate buy-in from stakeholders.
- Collaborates with Global DTC SCM Team on organizational design techniques, methodologies, and tools to change and improve organization structures and culture.
- Conducts impact assessments to ensure DTC SCM organizational structures are aligned to changes in processes, systems, technology, and tools.
- Plans DTC SCM organizational design activities, identifies alternatives, assesses feasibility, and recommends solutions.
- Supports to Align existing DTC SCM organizational structures, roles, and jobs to new processes.
- Monitors and reports progress on business readiness targets, business engagement activity, training design and key operational metrics.
- Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders in order to create and maintain stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Develops organizational capabilities to drive innovation and implements processes, tools, and frameworks to foster innovation.
- Supports communication and the open flow of creative ideas between interested parties and supports the setup of innovation networks and communities.

- Proven track record of strategic project management experience, advanced understanding of business process management, methodologies, and principles
- Proficient spoken and written command of English
- College or university degree with focus on Business Administration or SCM or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience, MBA is a plus
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience in global operations or supply chain environment, with proven transformation record and senior management exposure
- International experience, ideally having worked abroad for multiple years and having gained functional/market experience
- Participation in global project execution/significant contribution to functional project
