About the role
We’re seeking a highly motivated Client Engagement Manager to drive our strategic ambitions and create stronger value propositions for our key customers in the Energy Intense Industry. Many of our customers like Heidelberg Cement, Thyssenkrupp, Salzgitter AG, Bayer AG, Voest Alpine AG have started substantial decarbonization efforts while maintaining and growing their performance. It will be your role to provide them our support and global expertise to turn these projects into a long term and lasting success.
If fuel switch, energy efficiency, carbon capture, utilization and storage, scope 3 emissions or hydrogen value chains are more than just buzzword, you are on the right spot.
In your role you will:
- Be responsible for a portfolio of clients from such industries as steel and metallurgy, construction materials, glass, paper, chemical, and pharmaceutical, being amidst of their energy transition and decarbonization endeavors. The regional focus will be on the German, Austrian and Swiss market.
- Report to the Market Area Manager DACH and join a powerful team of experts focused on providing tangible support across all relevant market segments – Gas and Power Transmission and Distribution System Operators, Communal Utilities, Renewables, Oil and Gas Companies and Energy Intense Industry
- Empower Customers: You’ll be their voice within our organization to define customer needs and develop value proposition for the clients.
- Drive Sales: You’ll play a pivotal role in growing our sales pipeline, increasing order intake, and influencing project pricing and resourcing. You will also provide input on proposals and contracts and participate in the development of sales strategies.
- Optimize Customer Experience: You’ll work to ensure our customers have a seamless and satisfying experience with us by gathering feedback from clients and using to improve our services. You will address any issues that may impact client satisfaction.
- Build Networks: You’ll expand your network both internally and externally, helping us stay ahead of the market trends and opportunities. As you will be representing us on relevant internal and external events and trade shows.
- Foster Innovation: You’ll act as a project sponsor for key projects, ensuring high-quality and consistent delivery by monitoring project progress and addressing any deviations from the plan. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver our services on time and within budget.

About you
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar preferred.
- +5 years of demonstrated history of track record in Energy Intensive Industry or similar sales roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on opportunity identification.
- Deep market knowledge and foresight.
- Expertise in German and European energy markets.
- Understanding of large industrial customer needs.
- Proficiency in industrial energy systems, industrial processes and decarbonization paths.
- Proven business development skills and relationship-building.
- German and English language skills at least on C1 level.
