About the role

The Department Risk Management Northern Europe of the DNV Group has more than 100 employees at locations in Hamburg (Germany), BeNeLux and Norway and offers a wide service portfolio along the entire Energy value chain: conventional energy, hydrogen, wind, solar.

To support our consultants in our German section, we are looking for working students (m/f/d), who can work with us in the mid term and perform the following tasks:

  • Support of risk management advisory projects:
    • Qualitative risk assessments
    • Quantitative risk assessments (e.g. ice throw from turbine blades) for the wind energy sector
    • Reliability analysis (RAMS) in all sectors
    • Other types of projects in the section, e.g. other assessments, development and auditing of HSE management systems, incident investigations for the O&G, energy, petrochemical industries
  • Shadowing of senior consultants on project management tasks, from bidding to invoicing
  • Support of sales and marketing activities

About you

These key skills will be required:

  • Student in a bachelor’s or master’s STEM program at a German university
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and team spirit

These skills will be considered an advantage:

  • Knowledge of basic process engineering, chemical engineering and/or process safety concepts
  • Attitude solving complex numerical problems developing code, experience with Python and/or other programming languages
  • Additional foreign European languages (e.g. DK, NL, FR, IT)
