The role
As Head of Sales at understandAI you will be part of the company’s senior leadership team and you will be responsible to drive the top line. We track towards being the market leader for labelling tools and AI/ML automated annotation in the industry. It will be your responsibility to identify new business and expand our customer base all over the world.
Your tasks
- You will set the sales and the go-to-market strategy, that you will implement and communicate in the team and towards our customers. At the same time, you ensure the scaling of the processes
- You own the entire sales cycle (lead generation, qualification of opportunities, management of the customer relationship at various hierarchical levels, closing the opportunity, …)
- You own the funnel and forecast and ensure they are valid, accurate, transparent and communicated on time
- You have a clear understanding about our competitive environment and landscape
- You will increase our top line significantly within the next 3 years
- You identify and influence the buying center and build deep relationships with various hierarchy levels within the customers organization
- You will cooperate with the global dSPACE salesforce and support them closing UAI opportunities
- You work along with the Customer Success teams to ensure pilots and projects are successfully delivered to our customers and that we drive upsell
- You will lead, coach and develop the sales team
Requirements
- You have a strong business and customer oriented mindset and a pragmatic hands on way of working
- You have a track record of inventing and improving processes
- You have a strong “can do” mindset and you are able to work in fast changing environments
- You are a strong team player who focuses on the mission while motivating the team
- You have experiences in sales leadership positions and in the automotive industry
- You are experienced in selling complex SaaS or software solutions to OEMs and tier-1s
- You are fluent in English (German is a plus) and have a international/multicultural mindset or experience
- You have good analytical skills and you are a strong communicator
- You are persistent and a motivator for the team
