Your Tasks At Roche Diagnostics

• System solution ideas are architected and well defined including competitive solutions, technology opportunities and risks, and conceptual as well as practical limitations. Existing capabilities’ offerings, such as networks, reports, lab infrastructure, academic cooperations, customer contacts and the like are a strong part of the research implementation
• The potential of innovative nanosensor system solutions is captured, assessed, and prioritized whereby internal and external SMEs and their networks are leveraged
• Prioritized nanosensor topics are managed such that content, budget and timeline commitments are met; progress, opportunities and risks are communicated transparently. Prioritization is aligned with business, customer, and patient needs. Technical assistance in customer co-creation of early concepts constitutes an essential part of the prioritization
• Scientific and technical input is provided as subject matter expert wherever needed in order to support individual further projects within and beyond Research and Early Development
• Cross-functional collaboration is made use of and, vice versa, contributed to wherever possible

The Must Have’s

• PhD in physics, biophysics, medical physics or equivalent with additional experience in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering or similar
• postdoctoral experience advantageous
• demonstrated hands-on experience in sensor technology and application to biology and/or medicine
• strong expertise in nanosensors (such as nanoparticles, nanowires, nanopores etc.)
• proven ability to advance research in theory and practice in the context of biomedical applications
• experience in the field of in-vitro diagnostics is an advantage
• strong business acrumen
• outstanding networking skills
• proven skills in data management and data analysis, including advanced analysis methods, statistics, data mining
• ability to professionally communicate research results at all levels of audience
• Good German and business fluent English language skills
• very good communication skills and teamwork
