Job Description

Danfoss Editron designs and manufactures state-of-the-art electrification systems and products consisting of high-voltage electric motors, generators, converters and energy storage systems for the global Off-Highway, Commercial Vehicle and Marine markets. We are currently looking for an Electrification System Engineer (m/f/d)to expand our team in Neumünster.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as System Engineer (m/f/d) Electrification within the Editron Off-Highway Business unit, you will be the primary technical adviser and support to European customers on a wide product range of electrical drivetrain systems. You will work closely with customers – both direct and through distributors – as well as with colleagues on electrical and hydraulic issues across departments, business lines and segments.


Your key responsibilities in this position will be:


  • Application of electric and hybrid electric drivetrain systems for various off-highway applications
  • Providing technical support across all products within the portfolio and ensuring content and preparation of relevant technical documentation
  • Reviewing and approving all new applications with customers both during and at the end of the design phase
  • Joining the sales and account managers on customer visits and contributing to the line of questioning and sales activities regarding the technical contents. Afterwards, maintaining relationships established at each customer
  • Specifying and initiating product and system changes as well as adjustments based on customer requirements
  • Representing Editron at trade shows and exhibitions

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. Mechanical Engineers with electrical experience will also be considered. Additionally, you should have a few years of practical experience working within engineering or technical sales of electric machines and control systems. Furthermore, we are looking for:


  • Experience with power electronics, the application of electric motors and power conversion
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with energy storage technologies and grid level power supply are considered a plus
  • Knowledge of CAN bus and/or other controls protocols is considered a plus
  • Experience in project management is considered a plus
  • A team player who is also capable of working independently
  • Fluent English language skills in speaking and writing
  • Flexibility with regards to travel (up to 50% for the first year)
