THE ROLE


As a Senior UX/Innovation Researcher, your primary responsibility will be to define, plan and deliver user research for our product initiatives and set the standard for how we conduct user research at BI X – both online and in the field. We are curious and ambitions designer on a mission to reimagine healthcare, med-tech and life sciences. As we continue to grow this role will drive, build, and establish the research operations at BI X and beyond.

This position includes 6 responsibilities…
  • Ownership of everyday research practice in one of our agile product initiatives
  • Leadership on the chapters effort to build the logistic foundation for all research we do (Research Op)
  • Level up the whole UX chapters research capabilities by factor 3 (faster or better)
  • Broaden and strengthen our methodology set, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Build relationships inside the organization and the business units on the value of user research and insights
  • Support colleagues on their journey to become exceptional practitioners of UX research

You should be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is curious about people and their behavior as well as a strong team player. Furthermore, you can think beyond the research to get a glimpse of the true meaning behind human actions. You also inspire your peers and more junior team members to learn and expand their skill set.


PREREQUISITES

  • Longstanding experience in planning, conducting, communicating qualitative and quantitative user research, usability studies and setting up success metrics
  • Proven track record of working with human-centered-design methodologies on high quality digital products
  • Experience building logistical foundation for an organization research activity (Research Ops)
  • Ability to contribute meaningful approaches how to collaboratively run UX research in agile teams
  • Capability to creatively synthesize insights, build intuitively understandable insight formats and drive decision making
  • Ability to facility collaborative workshops with team members and stakeholders
  • English working proficiency and communication skills (verbal and written)

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Ideally a past work experience in an innovation lab, consultancy or medical environments
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative research
  • Excellent understanding of human psychology and behavior psychology

NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • You combine creative and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions and find efficient answers to tough challenges.
  • Analytical and organized mindset is your second nature to work out profound user research and structure your daily business effectively.
  • You love to work with people and interviewing them 1on1 and interacting with a crowd is a thrill to you.
  • Excited to develop and optimize processes and tools that bring order from chaos
