The Role

  • Coordinate Engineering Projects:Organise project drawings and submission dates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage Project Schedule:Oversee engineering activities, ensuring coherence between various project functions. Monitor critical project activities and deadlines.
  • Handle Technical Interfaces:Plan and manage technical exchanges with partners, customers, and contractors. Ensure timely and quality delivery of design documents.
  • Support Project Changes:Assist in managing engineering changes for large projects. Coordinate with design teams and provide necessary support.
  • Budget Management:Monitor the engineering budget, identify potential savings, and inform the Project Manager of any additional budget requirements.
  • Participate in Design Reviews:Contribute to multidisciplinary design reviews as per project procedures. Offer insights and recommendations.
  • Manage Design Changes:Analyse customer requirements, track potential changes, and ensure compliance through Technical Queries. Represent customer interests in design decisions.
  • Validate Design:Ensure designs meet customer acceptance criteria. Manage project documentation status and communication internally and externally.
  • Review Technical Specifications: Review technical specifications and supplier documents for material procurement and plant design. Verify design effectiveness within project budget constraints.

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering activities, preferably as a lead engineer, within an EPC environment minimum of 5-years.
  • Demonstrated success in project technical management within a multi-disciplinary team, managing multiple interfaces and products from diverse international sources.
  • Essential knowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, advantageous for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, showcasing strong organizational skills.
  • Beneficial understanding of Renewable Energy systems, contributing to a holistic project approach.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems, providing an additional advantageous skillset for the role.
  • Right to work in the EU/Germany
