Research Position

We offer training in a highly motivated research team with state-of-the-art methods and modern equipment. We seek to hire an outstanding PhD candidate with high motivation and passion for research.
- investigation of ice nucleating minerals at the atomic level using high-resolution atomic force microscopy and other relevant experimental techniques (70 %)
- publication of research results in scientific journals (30 %)
The employment is conducive to scientific qualification.
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
- fixed-term (3 years) (§ 2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases)

- strong organizational and coordination skills
- cooperative and team-oriented way of working
- knowledge of processes at mineral surfaces in contact with aqueous solutions (dissolution, growth)
- advanced experience in presenting own results at project meetings
- experience in working in international project teams
- German language skills (written and spoken)
