Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities
  • Drive (coordinate and hands on planning) the product introduction for relevant new projects on key product lines (HEMS, Infotainment or Sensors)
  • Responsibility for inventory, service Level during sampling and until serial production.
  • Lead the actions to optimize project ramp up
  • Coordination with production sites or procurement/suppliers to grant components availability
  • Coordinates/implement material master set up, for the new products, as well as all necessary steps for its components
  • Grant project management forecast is visible early enough to manage a proper product introduction, and monitor that S&OP Long Term FCst is available. Ensuring FCst is visible also on component level intern & extern
  • Ensure Supplier contracts support the needed performance level and liability
  • Control Customer demand fluctuations and take needed actions external and internal
  • Control Premium Freight and initiate actions to protect and avoid
  • Makes proposals on Inventory strategy during the ramp up to secure STR and Cost
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Masters degree, preferably in logistics/supply chain or Project Managment
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations functions, preferably as production planner.
  • Experience in international environment and automotive sector is an advantage
  • Conceptual and problem-solving skills, pragmatic approach (80/20)
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams (matrix organizations)
  • Strong system knowledge of Supply Chain related systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Solid in English, written and spoken
